About Iluka
Iluka, along with Burns Beach , is a new residential area with bushlands found in the north. This beachside suburb is named after the Aboriginal word that means "near the sea". It is one of the progressive communities in Iluka with developments still continuing to date. Central Iluka is 26 kilometers from Iluka.

Real estate development in the suburb only commenced recently, thus the sight of construction still remains in Iluka. Despite of this, Iluka oceanfront boasts multi-million dollar mansions and two-storey homes within the suburb. Fast-paced development will soon lead into a well-established community alongside its neighbouring suburbs Burns Beach , Kinross , Currambine , Ocean Reef and Connolly .

Sir James McCusker Park is a popular landmark in Iluka, forming the heart of the pleasant suburb. There are several smaller parks as well for the residents. On the coastline, nature trails for cycling and walking serve the fitness needs of Iluka's residents. Iluka is widely known for its surf with key points of assembly among surfers found in Mullaloo Beach, Sorrento Beach and Hillarys Beach. While there are no schools in Iluka, several learning institutions can be found in nearby suburbs.

Students from Iluka attend school mostly in Currambine or Joondalup . Some of these nearby academic institutions are Currambine Primary School, Kinross Primary School, Connolly Primary School, Beaumaris Primary School, Prendiville Catholic College and Ocean Reef Senior High School.

Iluka is bounded by Marmion Avenue in the east, Shenton Avenue in the south, Indian Ocean in the west and Wanneroo City in the north.
