About Duncraig
Duncraig was first established in the late 70's but has been gradually developed, so you find a variety of housing styles from anytime over the last 25 years. The suburb is very popular with families because of its good schools, attractive parks and affordability relative to other suburbs a kilometre nearer the coast.

One of the biggest suburbs in the Joondalup Shire it has been known as Duncraig (North) and Duncraig South. You'll find a top public high school off Readshaw Road in the north, Duncraig Senior High School (off course I'm a bit bias as that's where I went!) In fact Duncraig has six schools divided between the north and south parts.

Several parks and ovals can be found here, a most favourite is the cricket grounds of Marri Reserve. Percy Doyle is a huge park area with several tennis courts, community and public library for a good book.

The Glengarry Hospital, medical centres and specialist surgery facilities can be found on Arnisdale Road (hope you only ever need to "visit"). Glengarry park is good for a run and there is a rare mulberry tree at the north end if you ever decide to grow some silkworms!

South Duncraig is home to the train station, another shopping centre, Carine Tavern and more. Duncraig really is a great place to go.

There are also very good shopping and sports facilities in the suburb: no less than 5 small shopping centres, tennis courts, lawn bowls and a community centre with indoor sports hall. The Carine Lake and Open Space is also nearby.

Duncraig is a large suburb and the area south of Warwick Road tends to be described (certainly by real estate agents) as "Duncraig South". House prices in the southern half tend to be substantially higher than in the north, although both are good areas. Another area of note is the Carine Glades estate, situated close to the Carine Lake, which has been developed as an "exclusive" estate, with many two-storey mansions priced around the $2 million mark.

Duncraig is just a couple of minutes from the coast - nearest beaches are Watermans and Sorrento. Transport to the city is excellent, by train from Warwick station or by car on the freeway, joining at the Warwick Road intersection.

You'll find Padbury to the north, Warwick east, Carine south and both Sorrento and Marmion west.
