About Clarkson
Clarkson is a suburb in the City of Wanneroo in Clarkson, Western Australia, found 33 kilometres away from Clarkson CBD.

Those planning to reside in this suburb have two choices where to set up their homes: the already established section mostly comprised of three to four-bedroom homes or the Somerly Estate which is yet to finish its construction. This latter, newer section is comprised of about 1,800 lots with pre-owned homes, fiber-optic internet connection and commercial enterprises.

Somerly is being built around the Clarkson Train Station which provides fast transport to Clarkson and surrounding areas. The beach and the marina at Mindarie and Quinns Rocks, located west of the suburb, are just 5-minute drive away while Joondalup, located to the south, is 15 minutes away. Ridgewood is located north of Clarkson while Neerabup is at the east.

There are several primary schools located within and around Clarkson. Some of these are South Clarkson Primary School, Clarkson Primary School and St. Andrew's Catholic Primary School. It is also expected that Somerly Primary School will open as soon as the construction of Somerly is finished. When this school opens, South Clarkson Primary School will be moved there. Clarkson Community High School, on the other hand, is a soccer academy and is the only high school in the area.

Clarkson is considered a community ideal for those looking for affordable housing. A lot of its homeowners belong to the younger generation, and the construction of Somerly attracts more of these young generation residents.

Ocean Keys Shopping Center, which is still under construction, is expected to be the largest shopping center in the surrounding area. A K-mart store and other shopping establishments are scheduled to be built in the area soon. Currently, residents of Clarkson shop at Ocean Keys and small shops within the suburb.
